TASHI LHUNPO MONASTERY

Mark has recorded five albums over two separate occasions on location at the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Southern India near Mysore with producer Michael Whitewood from 30 IPS.

Using Mark's mobile recording rig, we set about recording albums that document the monk's prayers, as much for historical purposes as well as for commercial release. Recordings were also made of the monk's Tantric music.

The albums were recorded using Logic 7.1, before importing into Pro-Tools 7 for editing. The albums were then mixed either in Cairo or at MTM.

Many recordings took place at night as this was the only time we could guarantee any level of silence.
